Grooming

Animal Hospital of Mt. Pocono provides bathing services by appointment for dogs and cats. Our hydro-surge bathing unit produces a stream of water, air and shampoo, which gently lifts dirt from deep within your pet’s coat. This is not only extremely effective at deep cleaning pets, but it is also very soothing to them. It’s like a water spray massage. This technique also speeds up the bathing process significantly, allowing your pet to get out of the tub ASAP and experience less stress.

We can also administer medicated therapeutic baths as recommended by Dr. Valese. This eliminates some of the mess and bother for you.

Proper pet grooming is essential to keeping your pet happy and healthy. Regular grooming also lets us evaluate the health of your loved one’s skin, making it possible to spot potential problems so they can be addressed.

If your pet is difficult to bathe or panics in grooming situations, because we are an animal hospital, we are able to safely administer sedation to help calm them. This prevents them from harming themselves or others and allows the bathing or grooming process to be completed safely.
